My Summary

My Experience

I grew up surrounded by many children from my extended family, from the ages of 10 to one. They have all allowed me to gain casual experience interacting with children, and trying to make them smile. More professionally, during my gap year, I worked as a special needs teaching assistant back home in Belfast. I worked one-on-one with a child (aged 7) with autism from September through to June. I had to understand his needs and learn his routine to provide him with the best standard of care I could. In April 2024, when I finished my first year of university, I returned home to Belfast to fill another special needs teaching assistant role for a 9-year-old boy until June. Both roles were extremely difficult at times, but just as equally rewarding. They taught me how important it is to know that every child is completely different, and they all have their own unique needs. Since then I have babysat for a few parents amongst both schools, which has given me more experience in looking after children who I may not see as often.

My Qualifications

I have no specific qualifications in childcare, but I have a good amount of experience. I have 10 GCSES A*-C grade(Nat 5) and 3 A levels A*-C (Adv Highers)

My Availability

My availability will depend on my new university timetable. I am available the majority of weekends and evenings (except Wednesday and Thursday).

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour

£12 an hour for one child.
£15 an hour for two children.
£18 an hour for more than two children.
