My Experience

I was a part-time bank Nursery/Preschool Practitioner (January 2023 – September 2024), supporting my fellow nursery colleagues in delivering educational, fun play and activities for the early years (0 – 4 years) and aiding in their development towards key milestones. Additionally, I supervised and ensured the children's safety, care and holistic well-being. In addition, I assisted in all essential day-to-day tasks such as feeding, nappy changing, potty training, dressing, putting to bed, transporting, and light housekeeping of the rooms and overall building.

I have the privilege of working part-time as a private nanny, a role I've embraced since February 2024. I'm dedicated to caring for two amazing neurodivergent brothers, ages 8 and 11, who are learning to navigate life from the comfort of their homes due to severe mental burnout. I support their mother, a full-time caregiver, by engaging the boys in their interests through a child-led approach while providing companionship and friendship.

In addition to being a fun and supportive presence in their lives, I manage essential everyday tasks like whipping up tasty lunches and snacks, tackling light housekeeping in the kitchen, washing dishes, unloading the dishwasher, organising food deliveries, and keeping the workspace tidy.

Since September 2024, I have been employed part-time as a private nanny for a delightful 9-year-old boy. My role during school term involves picking him up from school and bringing him home, where I am responsible for preparing and serving meals. I also handle light housekeeping duties in the kitchen and ensure cleanliness in various areas of the house.

Further, I supervise his homework, provide assistance as needed, and facilitate his transportation to and from after-school activities using ride-hailing services, sometimes accompanying him with a friend. Engaging and interacting with him through play—both indoors and outdoors—is also a key part of my role in ensuring his safety and well-being.

During the holidays, I accompany him to playdates and manage visits from friends.


In addition to my professional roles, I volunteer with the NSPCC Childline, where I support children and young people aged 5 to 19 who encounter diverse challenges, particularly those related to mental health. Based at the head office in London, I connect with these young individuals through various platforms, including telephone conversations, live one-on-one online chats, and email correspondence. My aim is to empower them while offering attentive care and ensuring their safety as needed.
