About Me
My son is 26 and has a learning disability. His carer has left us after 13 years so we are looking for someone to keep him safe and to have fun with him on days out. He loves watching the hovercraft, going on buses/trains, food! and getting out and about. Generally a really polite, happy, cheeky, young man who can be anxious to start with but once he’s comfortable with you is great company.
My Requirements
We can be flexible on timings/hours. It doesn’t have to be every weekend. Our old carer did a Saturday or Sunday 10-4 and occasionally did weekday nights or overnight. They sometimes spent time at her house and with her family. He loves being around people. Money is from Direct payments coming from adult services for his package of care. We pay you from this, but we are only allowed to pay a maximum hourly rate of £14ph gross. I have to keep accounts. We can run a payroll if needed. An enhanced DBS is required.
