About Me
I am 1 of 5 children, being the 2nd eldest I have always helped out with the younger ones. I grew up in Milton Keynes. My husband and I are Jehovah's Witnesses and we volunteer 50 hours a month to help people in the community.
I've worked with children as a babysitter since the age of 14 years old and in a professional capacity since i was 17 years old.
Children are wonderful! I really enjoy seeing them explore their surroundings for the first time and explaining their surroundings to them and seeing how they enjoy these new learnings really warms my heart. I love teaching and allowing children to become independent and teaching them to grow up learning a variety of skills is something I take pride in.
My Experience
I have worked at primary schools for 12 years.
I looked after children aged 3-11 years old where my main responsibilities have been providing the children with various activities to play with whilst in my care, engage in outside activities such as field trips but also regular out of class play activities. My responsibility also includes feeding them a light snack and sometimes we would bake cakes or biscuits.
I have been a Teaching Assistant for 3 years supporting variety of needs the children may have including performing daily interventions to help children better understand difficult concepts in various subjects and I have also worked very closely with children who have ADD, ADHD, Autism and other speech and language needs.
