About Me
Hi there! I am a young and vibrant person looking for work as a nanny/babysitter. I have most recently worked as a teaching assistant for KS1 and KS2 children. During that time I gained many experiences doing 1:1 work especially with children with SEN, and I’m looking to continue that line of working with children. I have many hobbies such as playing guitar, reading, listening to records and singing. I am also a licensed driver with my own car. I’d love the opportunity to work for you and create a strong bond with your children to care for them and help them grow.
My Experience
I worked in an After school club for the last 8 months as a teaching assistant which helped me with many situations such as: Staying calm and keeping my patience in stressful situations.
- Comforting pupils when they become upset or aggravated, speaking to them in a gentle manner to find the root of the problem.
- Helping the teacher prepare for the lesson, such as: setting up and tidying the classroom and handing out pens, paper etc.
I also worked as a Receptionist in a GP surgery between 8/2022 to 8/2023. Which helped me discover my passion for care. While working there some skills I picked up were: Answering telephone calls, helping patients with queries and booking appointments for them.
- Sorting and distributing incoming emails, employing strict confidentiality throughout.
- Reducing waiting times through effective time and resource management.
- Greeting incoming patients in a professional yet friendly manner and comforting patients when they feel worried or frustrated.
My Qualifications
I have a level 3 degree in Business Administration. I also have a distinction in SEN teaching Training. I am currently working towards my Level 3 degree in childcare. And I have passes in all my GCSES which include : English Language, English literature, Mathematics, Science, Media Studies, Drama and Religious Studies.
My Availability
I have a very flexible availability and am free during all day hours in the weekdays. Weekends are more difficult but if urgent i will always try to make it. I will almost never be able to work at night and the latest I will be able to stay would be 5-7pm on all days.
