About Me
Hello, My name is Becky and I am a qualified primary school teacher. I am offering private tuition in the primary subjects (5-11), (Math/English/Science) specialising in phonics, reading, and letter formation. At present, I am teaching part-time after a year’s maternity leave. I can draw on my ten years of experience teaching Reception and Year One pupils both in the UK and abroad, having spent time teaching Kindergarten in Canada. I have two children who I relish spending my time with, we especially love getting into the great outdoors. I have an up-to-date DBS and I am registered on the update service.
My Experience
I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2011 after finishing my Primary Education (with QTS) degree. I spent my first four years after university teaching in a Reception class in Hertfordshire. I then left to travel and work in Australia. I spent roughly three years traveling Australia and lived in various cities including, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth. During my time inn Australia I worked as a live-in nanny and an optical assistant at Specsavers (Sydney). I also completed six months of rural work. I then relocated to Kelowna, Canada where I spent five years teaching in Kindergarten and Year 1 at a Preparatory school. My family and I then relocated back to England in July 2022, where I began teaching again through a supply agency.
My Qualifications
I hold a BA Hons Degree in Primary Education. I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2011 with Qualified Teacher Status. I completed my QTS year in I hold a current DBS and I am on the update service.
My Availability
I am available during the afternoon (Mon-Fri) and after school hours.
