My Summary
A Safe & Nurturing Environment Where Your Child Is Encouraged To Be Curious, Imaginative & Creative.
About Me
LIMITED SPACES FROM MARCH 2025
I believe in providing children with a loving, caring, fun and secure setting. I take an approach to teaching children that reflects this; with love, understanding, praise, patience and play.
If you would like a copy of my handbook with all of my policies and curriculum information feel free to pop me a message.
I have CCTV in operation for children’s security both indoor and outdoor of the property. I have doors locked at all times and children will only be allowed to leave with agreed persons.
I am in the process of creating a large purpose built play room and outdoor play space. I also have a separate quiet room/safe sleeping zone, separate dining area and private baby change area.
I offer part time and full time term time places for children aged 0-12 years, school holiday club & also offer after school club and pick ups from Fairfield Primary School, St Patrick’s RC Primary School, Holy Trinity Rosehill CE Primary School and St Marks CE Primary School in Fairfield depending on intake.
Within the play room there are various areas including a reading zone, arts & crafts area, role play area, education corner, designated safe baby play zone & more.
I have dedicated spaces for older children who may wish to sit and do homework, play board games, karaoke, play outside, do arts & crafts, read, enjoy cooking or baking etc.
I am qualified in the delivery of EYFS and will be singing and reading daily. I teach basic British sign language as part of our curriculum. I aim to be cooking and baking with the children twice per week.
I have monthly learning themes broken down into weekly topics and daily activities planned in advance. Themes include but are not limited to ‘All About Me’, ‘People Who Help Us’, ‘Spring & New Life’, ‘Our Planet, Recycling & Climate Change’, ‘Mini Beasts & Insects’, ‘The Weather & Seasons’, ‘Cultures & Tradition Around The World’, ‘Water, The Ocean & Sea Creatures’, ‘Healthy Eating & Our Bodies’, ‘The Planets, Space & Stars’, ‘Festivals & Celebrations’, ‘Summer Fun, Beach & Sun Safety’, ‘All About Autumn’, ‘Winter & New Beginnings’.
I will regularly share with you your child's progress and keep a learning diary for each child and conduct developmental plans and progress reports. I provide daily updates for parents so you always know what your child has been up to and that they are content in my care.
With your permission I will take photographs of your child’s adventures to share with you and to keep in their personal learning diaries that you can access at any time.
I aim to go out with children every day whether this is a walk to the park or through the woods, going to a local community class or play group, a visit to the farm or aquarium or one of our favourites a play area. Children also have unlimited access to our secure outdoor play space come rain or shine.
I offer children unlimited age appropriate healthy snacks of fruit and vegetables. As well as unlimited healthy snack options, children also have snack time with a range of snack options and milk.
Breakfast is provided daily and includes a variety of healthy pancakes, fruit, yoghurt, toast, crumpets, cereal and porridge with a variety of toppings.
Snacks and drinks are provided for children in after school club too, that will see them through until their evening meal at home.
All children have their own age appropriate drinking bottle for water that they have access to all day.
I do ask for an age appropriate lunch to be provided by parents to ensure all children have a lunch they will eat and that is specifically catered for their individual needs. This also allows me extra valuable time to spend with children daily.
My Experience
I have experience with children of all ages from birth to teenage years, from all different backgrounds and a range of special educational needs. I also have home education experience.
My mission is to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child in my care can thrive emotionally, socially and academically. I am committed to fostering a sense of security, building confidence and encouraging curiosity, creativity and independence.
Through individualised care, I support each child's unique needs and development. I pride myself on creating a warm and welcoming space that feels like a home from home.
