About Me

KS1 English Tuition

I offer 1:1 tutoring and group sessions in the following areas:
- Creative Writing
- Phonics Booster for year 1 pupils
- Reading club
- Mental Wellness Mentoring for pre-teens and teens

I also create phonics and mindfulness resources for kids/teens.

I am an experienced, confident, and creative teacher who is fully trained in:
- Read, Write, Inc
- Letters and Sounds
- Jolly Phonics
and have experience of using the Little Wandle phonics programme.

My approach to teaching and learning is creative. Supporting and encouraging children to be active participants in their learning. I am aim to guide children towards becoming confident learners who want to learn. Using modelling and scaffolding in order to achieve this.

I also have a strong interest in mental health and wellbeing, which I am happy to incorporate into lessons to equip children with tools for self-regulation and calm. I love seeing children have their own "aha moments" and watching their confidence grow as they make progress in their learning.

I believe in maintaining open communication with parents and provide regular updates on their child’s progress to ensure we work together in supporting their learning journey.
