About Me
It's just me and my 2 kids - they're in KS3 middle school. My daughter is 11 and my son is 12 - he starts high school next year. Really they are very low key. We are a multicultural family and are fluent English and Spanish speakers. We've only come back to England after several years abroad, so they are still readjusting to the culture and don't feel confident to move on their own yet, naturally. We live at my aunt's and she has a couple of lodgers, so there's always someone at the house, however obviously they are not free to commit with helping me on a regular basis.
My Requirements
I need a hand with before-school and after-school drop-offs/pick-ups or clubs 2-3 days a week. They attend Walkwood CE Middle School. Gates open between 8:30am and 8:45am. Whether it's someone coming to pick them up (we are an 8 minute drive away from school), making sure they had their breakfast, washed their own dishes, and have got everything with them, then picking them up from school and bringing them here, giving them a snack; or whether before- and after-school is from childminder's or nanny's home, either option will be great (I need someone who is Ofsted registered due to benefits, please). I'm in between jobs and I'm still awaiting for schedule confirmation, so I will confirm which days ASAP, but will definitely be 2 to 3 days a week.
I will also need someone to look out for them, engage with them, plan indoor/outdoor activities to minimise screen time, and help with meals during school holidays 2-3 days a week, probably 8am to 5pm (to be confirmed); again whether here at our home or at childminder's/nanny's home (if latter, option to pick them up would be great). No need to worry about homework most of the time as they're independent in that aspect and we usually have a set time in the evenings for that.
