About Me

I am an energetic, enthusiastic person with a mature responsible approach to any task I undertake. I am hard working and eager to progress professionally. I have excellent organisation and team working skills and demonstrate these skills on each shift. I am a kind and caring individual with a great passion to making a difference to children and young people’s lives.

My Experience

• Senior residential support worker at Meadows Care LTD (April 2022 – Current)

As a support worker I provide care and support including emotional support to children and young people in their homes, helping with daily routines and encouraging and organising positive activities with them. I create a safe and nurturing environment, monitoring the children’s wellbeing and intervening when necessary to prevent harm. I assist the children’s development by helping with social skills, independence and educational activities all tailored to each child’s needs. I work as part of a team with other staff members but also work with other professionals such as therapists and social workers, sharing information and strategies to provide the best care for the child possible. I maintain open communication with children and their families to support the child’s development.

As a senior in this role I have additional responsibilities in the home which typically includes supervision of team members, overseeing the work of staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality care is delivered. I am often the first point of contact in emergencies, using my experience to manage crisis effectively to ensure safety for everyone.

Administration and Finance at Rochdale Borough Council (August 2015 – April 2022)
2015-2017 Early Years Team
2017-2021 Education, Health and Care Planning

2021-2022- Rochdale Additional Needs Team.

Within these rolls I would track and manage financial recourses allocated for children’s services and school’s such as additional funding for education, reimbursement for travel, nursery funding etc. I would oversee applications for care plans, attend panel meetings and offer telephone support for parents. I would constantly receive and record sensitive information working in line with the Data Protection Act. These roles required a combination of financial acumen, organisation skills and a commitment of supporting children and families in the community.
