About Me
I am professional private tutor of 25 years experience, attained within the public and private sectors (both schools and college). My passion for sharing my skills, knowledge and experience with my students drives me toward academic success for them. Furthermore, my desire is to build confidence and so empower the learner to engage with the challenging areas of a syllabus, that may be causing some anxiety.
By recognising individual learning styles and needs, I aim to deliver a fulfilling, tailor-made learning experience. Such an approach to promote the learning process, will allow us to work toward the achievement of full potential in the subject taught.
My Experience
As a highly qualified & experienced teacher of Secondary Sciences & Maths, I have enthusiastically delivered tuition from Key Stage 3 through to both GCSE, IGCSE & A Level across all major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel & OCR). Past Maths/Numeracy Departmental Lead Practitioner in a college of further education. In addition to GCSE Science & Maths teaching, Functional Skills tuition in Numeracy (Entry Levels & Levels 1 & 2) has also been offered professionally to learners of all ages. Progression from GCSE Science to specialisation in AS & A Level Biology & Human Biology (AQA, OCR & Edexcel) has also provided, having attained much experience as a Programme Group Tutor & further education lecturing at Level 3.

GTC Registered Qualified Teacher Status - Secondary Science (2002).
PGCE Science, University of Portsmouth (2002).
BSc (Hons) Human and Social Biology with Psychology, University of Surrey (2001).
City & Guilds Adult Numeracy Subject Support Specialist Qualification.
Literacy Subject Support Specialist Qualification.
