My name is Haleema and I am a 25 year old university student studying Psychology in my final year of university. I am passionate about working with children and my goal is to provide a service where your child/ren are not only looked after but have experiences where they can thrive and develop as people.
With my background in Psychology, I am educated in the developmental milestones of children and adolescents as well as the practices that can enhance development, nothing brings me more joy than seeing this first hand. I have successfully put this into practice working as a SEND teaching assistant in a nursery and primary school over the past year.
I have worked with a wide range of children with conditions ranging from SEHM, Autism, ADHD and Down syndrome. I am neurodiverse positive and work with this philosophy when providing support with the conditions mentioned above.
I have an enhanced DBS for working with children and adults and have been first aid trained in my previous role as a SEND teaching assistant.

AUG 2024: Child Development Center for Special Needs Internship - Clinical experience working in Speech and language and Occupational therapies with neurodiverse children

SEP- DEC 2023 SEND Teaching Assistant at a Nursery (1-4 years)
JAN-MARCH 2023: Literacy Achievement Coach - Providing literacy support to students from specialised provisions i.e. Refugee and Anxiety (14-18 years)

3 A Levels and A Foundation Degree Diploma in Fine Art

My Availability
I am available most evenings and for the majority of Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. I am willing to be flexible with my timings if possible and would appreciate the same in return as I am a full time student. However, I do not do overnight stays. Thank you!
