My Experience

I have a wealth of experience working with children and newborns not only from my experience in training to become a midwife but from my time working in nursery’s in Bristol prior to qualifying.

I much prefer working one to one with a family and their children as you can then see the development and build lasting relationships with the children, whereas in a nursery it can be very transient.

Prior to becoming a registered midwife I spent time with an independent midwife in the years 2020-2021. It was an absolutely amazing experience and it taught me that we all need support with daily life. Because of this experience I have spent a lot of time around new parents, newborns and understand the very exhausting task of keeping things together. That is why it brings me a lot of joy to offer my services as a babysitter to take the pressure off families and single parents.

I am really interested in different types of schooling and have worked for the home schooling network in Spain where I offered a variety of musical workshops where I taught electric guitar, drums and bass guitar to a group of 12 year old girls.

I am a friendly and non-judgmental character, motivated to promote kindness and work hard to create a nurturing environment wherever I am.

I have completed my Basic Life Support through my midwifery training, Safeguarding for adults and children and I have a recent up to date DBS certificate.

I enjoy being outdoors and encouraging curiosity with children. Walking and keeping active is something I love.

Currently I am very available due to not working in the hospital, however would be great to have an idea of when you might need me so I can schedule this in. I would prefer to do longer hours than short blocks.
