About Me
Hi
My name is Catherine. I am on a career break from my 20 years in children’s social work, have returned to Cambridge for winter and am looking for a lovely relaxed family who need a few hours help a week, the odd evening of babysitting or a bit of home help. I have experience looking after a massive range of ages of children and supported my own sister through her new mum years. I make nanny time fun and particularly like outdoor play. I can speak French fluently and a tiny bit of Russian German and Turkish.
Skills: storytelling, cleaning, being friendly, meeting your child where they are at, kind, patient, good at creative boundary setting and helping with homework. I can provide references from friends with children of a range of ages.
I have an active DBS check and am still on the social work register too which technically also makes me safe!
I have lots of experience supporting neurodiverse children, and children with anxiety as well as younger pre verbal children.
Please note I am in Cambridge until March/April 2025 and have my own caring responsibilities so if you are wanting a full time nanny for after school please do contact someone else! I can do daytimes and evenings just not full time.
I drive a van with one passenger seat for transport. Travel wise I would ideally like something Shelford/Trumpington area, central Cambridge or out towards horningsea to fit in with my living arrangements.
