My Summary
About Me
I am a dedicated postgraduate student in primary education with experience in early years, KS1, KS2 and SEND. Throughout my degree, I felt that through invaluable experiences, I have deepened my teaching beliefs and values on a personal and professional level. As such, my enthusiasm for teaching, working with children and a willingness to learn has only increased throughout my professional journey, shaping me into the confident and resilient person that I am today.
My Experience
I have been working with children of all ages since I was 16 years old and able to partake in work experience through school. Since then, I have been on multiple university placements to a variety of different schools in which I have gained tremendous experience from. Alongside this, I have also travelled to India and Sri Lanka to extend my teaching abilities on a global aspect. This provided me with indelible experience in which I immersed myself within the local cultures of both countries.
My Qualifications
I cannot fathom a time that I didn’t want to be a teacher or work with children. I remember being about 6 or 7 and lining my dolls and teddies up to take the register and ‘teach’ them. And since then I have done everything within my education to pursue this career. My GCSE’s and A-Levels allowed me to go to Sheffield Hallam University, in which I completed my degree in Primary Education with QTS, holding a first class honours. I then went on to study a masters degree at Manchester Metropolitan University, in Inclusive Education.
In addition to this, between the years of 2020 and 2024, I have completed numerous training and continuous professional development courses. Such as: Safeguarding Children in Education; Communication and Mental Health; Keeping Children Safe; Protecting Children from Child Sexual Exploitation and Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health.
I also hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
My Availability
Evening availability, 4.30pm-10pm. Weekend availability is an option but would have to be discussed. Since I am a supply teacher, my day-to-day work is very flexible. If you need childcare for a specific day I am more than happy to accommodate with enough notice.
