My Requirements

We are seeking a warm, caring, and highly engaging environment for our 28-month-old son as he takes his first steps into a nursery, pre-school, or childminder setting. Ideally, we are looking for 2–3 half or full days per week, including Mondays (with Tuesdays and/Wednesdays too, as a first preference), starting in January 2025.

Our son has not yet attended a childcare setting, so we hope to find a provider who can offer a nurturing and welcoming atmosphere where he can build confidence, develop his social skills, and thrive at his own pace.
We are particularly interested in settings that emphasise child-led learning and offer one to one learning (if necessary), creative play, and tailored developmental support.

He is currently working on developing his speech and communication skills and uses only a few words. We believe that a social environment with peers his age, coupled with individualised support where needed, could help him flourish in this area. We are looking for a childcare provider who has experience fostering speech and language development and can provide a patient and encouraging space for him to grow, whilst building upon his social skills.

We would prefer providers with:
• A recent Good or Outstanding Ofsted inspection rating.
• Experience supporting children who may benefit from additional one-to-one support, especially in communication and early language development.
