About Me

My name is jodie and I work full time from home as a mental health counsellor. I have 3 young children 7,10 and 11. My 2 youngest sons are ADHD, one is diagnosed. They are great children. The boys can be sometimes hyperactive but are usually well behaved. My 11 year old daughter is like an angel in disguise, she’s much older in her mind than the average 11 year old. All the children are loving and caring. We do have some boundaries in the house but perhaps not the same as other households. For example, I do allow my children to swear in our house within reason which some people may disagree with. I believe that their home is their safe place and should be able to express themselves freely within reason. Please keep this in mind if you are working with us. Both the boys have medication to help them sleep and they usually fall asleep with no major issues. I don’t try and force them to sleep but I do ask them to be in their rooms by a certain time so they can settle down. They love one to one interaction but they also like to entertain themselves and have screen time. We are a laid back family, easy going and down to earth. We are mainly looking for someone to help out at weekends, evenings so that we can get a break. Please feel free to ask me any questions.
