About Me
I work full-time and have 2 sons aged 13 and 6. My 6 year old is autistic and I would like to find someone else for him to bond with to continue his amazing development.
My Requirements
Hello!
I’m looking for someone who is reliable, a good communicator and who shows dignity and respect towards others, to become a PA for my son. He is 6 years old and attends school.
He has autism, social and communication learning disabilities and ARFID (an eating disorder). He is a complex little character who likes to surprise people when they least expect it, either by trying a new food or saying a new phrase or sentence.
Ideally I would like to find someone with significant experience of working with SEN kids given he can be quite unpredictable at times and have meltdowns where he can hurt himself, and this is quite distressing to see.
As a PA you’ll support my child with going out into the community and also support during the school holidays. You’ll work in our home in the area, in the evening and/or at the weekend (to be negotiated, but this can be flexible).
You must have held a clean driving license for at least one year and be over 21 years of age. The rate of pay is around £12 per hour, for a minimum of 4 hours per week (this could be cumulated to provide extra support in the school holidays.) You will be given a full induction and training when in post. If you’re successful, you’ll need to provide an enhanced DBS check which will be paid for.
