About Me
Hi I’m Zara! I’m a responsible and independent student who’s equipped with valuable skills such as effective communication. I’m currently 18 years old and more than capable when it comes to working with children. I’ve had experience in mentoring and tutoring younger children within school, as well as providing mental wellbeing support. Outside of school I’ve also worked as a private tutor to assist children with their 11+ studies in core subject areas including Maths and English. I excel academically, with strong 11+ results, GCSE and A level grades to support this; and being in my final year of A levels I can confidently say I can handle stressful situations. As a young person myself , I’m empathetic and understanding when it comes to supporting those who are younger than I am.
I am available on certain weekday evenings, and usually in the mornings, afternoons and evenings of the weekend; however this can be discussed further and I can adjust my schedule to accommodate for your requirements!
My Experience
As an oldest sibling I’ve independently looked after my younger sisters, usually when our parents are away on work trips. I have experience in mentoring children for their wellbeing in school by regularly setting up and attending sessions. I have a range of experience working with young people to support them with creative arts and activities. I was previously a girls scouts lead volunteer who assisted with leading girls scouts aged 5-8. I also have provided academic support to younger children, and also peers within my school due to my strong academic background.
My Qualifications
- Experience in babysitting neighbours’ children, my own siblings and younger relatives within my family. (References + Testimonies can be provided upon request)
- Obtained 11+ score of 128 in 2018.
- GCSEs - 10x GCSEs (inc Maths, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Drama, RE, Spanish) with grades B-A*
- ESB (English Speaking Board) Qualification obtained in Jan 2024.
- A Levels - History, Psychology and Economics (Predicted Grades AAA)
- Worked multiple jobs (ie retail assistant at Fenwick, conference hostess at De Vere, Cars SalesWoman)
My Availability
Usually evenings on the weekdays, but this can vary from week to week. Weekends usually will be best for me - mornings/afternoons/evenings.
