About Me
We are a family of 3, live in Roundhay with our 5 year old boy.
The reason for seeking help is I'm going through a treatment which is taking on my body, and so less able to help with childcare during the Christmas holidays and likely the month of Jauary.
My Requirements
Therapeutic parenting would be important. My son is adopted child. He is bright and is doing well at school, just needs additional help with emotional regulation when frustrated (e.g. after 1.5 hours of sitting in front of the TV), but a calm and redirecting approach to for example a ball game in the foyer (throwing or kicking) can turn things around very quickly to connection and love. He pushes the boundaries, it is important to explain things clearly in advance. But with a loving approach he gets used to new structures quickly and is a very loving and fun boy to be around.
