About Me
Hi, I’m Liz Kelly! I am currently in the pre-registration phase and hoping to open in March 2025.
Please note, I am currently not a Gold member on childcare.co.uk - awaiting registration prior to joining. Sadly timelines are dependant on Ofsted’s workloads.
I am a qualified teacher of 9 years (QTS/PGCE) with extensive experience working with children. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate, safeguarding training, and first aid qualifications, ensuring your child’s safety and well-being are always my top priorities.
I provide a nurturing, home-from-home environment while following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum to give your child the very best start in life. Learning through play is at the heart of what I do, with activities including arts and crafts, role-play, yoga, trips to the woods, visits to local attractions, park outings, group activities, and even language learning!
As a reflective practitioner, I take my role very seriously and continually strive to create engaging and meaningful experiences for every child in my care.
I am pleased to offer the 15 or 30 hours of free childcare entitlement for 3- and 4-year-olds, as well as for eligible 2-year-olds under the government scheme.

My Experience
I’m a proud mum to two wonderful daughters, aged 13 and 17. With nearly a decade of experience as a qualified school teacher and former Head of Faculty, I bring a wealth of expertise in education and child development. Throughout my career, I have continually expanded my knowledge through CPD (Continuing Professional Development), covering areas such as mental health first aid, curriculum design, and supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
I hold a degree with master’s credits in linguistics and languages, as well as a postgraduate qualification in education, which enriches my ability to foster communication and learning in children. Alongside my educational experience as school teacher, I also have a background in finance, which helps me stay organised and manage resources effectively.
My passion lies in creating nurturing and supportive environments where children can thrive, and I’m committed to ongoing learning to ensure I provide the best care possible.

My Availability
I am open Monday to Thursday from 7.30 am-6pm, 48 weeks per year.
I can also offer wraparound care / school drop offs & pickups for any school aged children from St Benedict's / St John's school in Glastonbury.

*Childminding £6.50 per hour to include snacks and drinks. To be invoiced monthly in advance.
*Wraparound care (school / nursery drop offs & picks ups): £7 per hour
*Consumables charge: £2.50

I accept childcare vouchers, tax free childcare payments, universal credit, government funding.
