My Summary

My Experience

As an English & Education student at university, I have had experience working in Scottish high schools as a student teacher, specialising in English. Through this, I have planned and taught a variety of stimulating and educational lessons for up to 30 children at a time. Additionally, this gave me the opportunity to work one-to-one with individuals who required additional support, which I found to be extremely valuable to my experience. I have also spent time volunteering in local primary schools and a nursery where I further enhanced my experience and passion for working with children. Outside of an education setting, I have also been employed as a Children's Activity Leader at a holiday park which was a great position in which I was able to provide fun and care in a safe environment for multiple children of all ages. Within this role, I developed knowledge of various games and activities such as arts and crafts and sports related such as badminton, relay races and obstacle courses. I also have two younger siblings which I have spent time babysitting since I became old enough which I feel has only added to my love for working with children.

My Qualifications

I have no formal childcare qualifications but I can provide you with references from those I have worked with such as university lecturers, previous employers and headteachers.

My Availability

As a final year student I am quite flexible so I am able to try to work around your availability as much as I can. I have added my ideal schedule below. I do not drive so I would be relying on public transport if I am not local to you.
