About Me
A family with 2 boys based across 2 properties in Putney and Barnes are looking for a pro-active governess/nanny to come and join them on a permanent basis.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is warm, takes pride in their work, understands children's educational needs (7+ exams), has clean driving licence (do not apply if you do not have a drivers licence), can cook and has a can do attitude while having fun with the children.
The family employs a full-time housekeeper.
Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturday morning; 40hrs per week.
This can be a live in (own room & bathroom) or live out role.
Between £20 and £30 per hour depending on experience.

Job specification:
* Provide structured educational support, including homework assistance, exam preparation, and additional learning tailored to the children’s needs.
* Ensure youngest is well-prepared for his 7+ exams, reinforcing core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Reasoning.
* Design and implement engaging learning activities that complement school education.
* Encourage good study habits, discipline, and a love for learning & reading.
* Assist in developing social etiquette, communication skills, and overall confidence.
* Organise educational outings and age-appropriate activities.
* Supervise and organise extracurricular activities.
* Assist with daily routine (e.g., organising study areas, ensuring school bags are packed).
* Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment.
* Boys eat everything - cooking healthy nutritious meals and food shopping
* Clothes shopping for boys.
Candidate specification:
* Clean driving licence
* A strong academic background, preferably with a degree in Education, English, Mathematics, or a related field.
* Preference to having experience with 7+ exams and have experience preparing children for selective school entrance exams or having school teaching experience. Strong English language understanding.
* Previous experience as a governess/nanny in a private household.
* A passion for education and child development.
* Enjoys having fun with children and getting out and about
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable to different learning styles.
* Reliable
* Longevity in previous roles .
* Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage.
