About Me
I am a nanny, PA and babysitter who is currently an events assistant with a background in youth work, education, and theatre, with particular experience with SEN. I enjoy working with children and young people and have worked with children and young people of all ages in childcare, youth work and education.
My Experience
I was formally a SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school and Higher Level Teaching Assistant in a specialist resource base for autism. In this job I have worked with nursery aged children, and worked with children who are toilet training. I can use basic Makaton.
Before that, I have experience babysitting, in youth theatre and in support work. I have worked with Children and Young People from 1 years old up to 25 years old, and have worked with a variety of SEN including: autism, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome, Global Developmental Delay, D/deaf, Developmental Language Disorder, Foetal Alcohol Syndrome, mental health difficulties, and more.
I am experienced in using Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Intensive Interaction.
My Qualifications
I have Paediatric First Aid from St. John’s Ambulance
I have Enhanced DBS check ( and registered on the update service)
