About Me
Hello, I’m a friendly, organised, experienced and knowledgeable primary teacher and tutor. I love coaching children for entrance exams. I’ll support you and keep you on target. You’ll learn lots and be amazed at your transformation! I’ve tutored hundreds of children over the past 30 years.
Unlike many other tutors, I’m a qualified primary teacher, with a PGCE in Primary Education in addition to my honours degree. A teacher needs to be an actual teacher! I also hold a PGCE from the world-leading teacher training establishment, The Institute of Education at the University of London, in the teaching of English.
I qualified as a Primary Teacher in 1999 and as an English Teacher in 1996. So I’m a twice-qualified teacher! I have been teaching and tutoring for 30 years and set up my own, one-woman tuition business, specialising in entrance exams at 11, 10 and 7 in 2008, leaving school teaching to enter the world of Professional Tuition.
I have had huge success at entrance exams to leading independent and grammar schools: City Boys, Latymer, City Girls, Dame Alice Owen, QE Boys, Highgate, Channing, Westminster, UCS, the Girls’ School Consortium, Forest. My students have been awarded scholarships on the strength of their completed exam papers.
I’m a structured, vastly experienced, calm, supportive, holistic tutor. I’ll ensure you and your child receive everything you need to know: all academic content for their English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning exams, all necessary exam techniques, their strengths, areas for improvement, ongoing assessment and feedback, tailored homework, support with devising a sensible Home Study plan, and tip-top interview practice. I’ll provide past and sample practice papers and be on the end of the ‘phone to assist should you ever need me outside of lessons.
My Experience
I’ve tutored over 200 pupils on a 1:1 basis, and in my teaching days was hired by leading state and independent schools to support pupils, such as St. Mary’s in Hampstead, Wetherby in Central London, and Hill House.
My pass rate is fantastic. I’m regarded as one of London’s best 11+, 10+ and 7+ tutors. Parents employ me across ten year + spans to work with successive siblings, and my name is passed between families, such is my reputation. I’m warm, calm, funny and friendly too!

- Tutoring from £60.00 per hour
Happy to discuss, starting from £60 an hour for English tuition, starting from £65 an hour for exam coaching.
