About Me
I'm Esther. Some of the local children and parents might know me as Mrs. Zhou (pronounced Joe). I am offering private tutoring sessions from my home in Kings Barton, Winchester. I have been working in primary schools in teaching and teaching assistant roles for over 10 years
I love working with children and believe in building positive relationships with my students while creating a nurturing environment in which they can learn and grow. I offer intervention programmes tailored to the needs of your child, ensuring they are working towards their age-related targets. My aim is to build their self-confidence and inspire a lifelong passion for learning. I am committed to delivering calm, engaging, and focused sessions that empower my students to reach their full academic potential.
My Experience
I have a BA (Hons) in Primary Education with QTS from the University of Brighton and over 8 years of experience working as a primary school teacher across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in inner-city schools in London. I also have over 2 years of experience as a learning support assistant in a Winchester primary school, working with Year R, Year 1, and Year 3. I have significant experience of working with children who have a variety of educational needs.

My Availability
I currently have some after school sessions available from 4pm and weekend mornings from 9am. Sessions will be term-time only unless otherwise specifically agreed.
If you are looking for weekday availability during school hours please contact me directly to discuss your requirements.
Each session will last for 1 hour with a 5 minute comfort break.
Please note that all tutoring sessions run from my home.
