My Summary

My Experience

I have worked with children since I was a young teenager voluntarily helping in the karate classes which my mum taught. Since summer 2022 I have been an activity leader at a school holiday camp during my university holidays. This role involved planning and leading sports, cooking and crafts activities- I primarily worked with KS2 aged children. For the previous year I have worked part-time as a SEND teaching assistant alongside my university studies. I am now doing this role full-time because I am on a leave of absence from my Master's because I intend to conduct research about Special Education and would like to gain full-time experience in the field before doing so. I have experience working with children with (EAL) limited English language proficiency and children using (PECS) electronic and paper communication aids.

My Qualifications

I have completed safeguarding and Team Teach courses whilst working as an SEND teaching assistant. I have a humanities bachelors degree and a maths A-Level. I have also completed a 120 hour course in teaching English as a Foreign Language.

My Availability

I work on weekday daytimes as a SEND teaching assistant. I have availability after school from (4-5pm depending on where you are located in relation to my work) and on evenings and weekends. I would also be open to doing extra childcare during the school holidays.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.50 per hour

My fees vary dependent on the specific role. The national living wage inclusive of holiday pay is £12.50 per hour which is what I would charge for straightforward babysitting. If you would like tutoring in specific subjects or English as an additional language, this will require planning, therefore I charge £15 per hour. Depending on where you live I may I ask that you reimburse me for travel costs which may involve an Uber if it is late night.
