About Me
The Willows ChildCare provides childcare for children ages 0-5 on a daily basis from 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday.
Your baby or child will be given the opportunity to learn and develop through age appropriate : arts &crafts, animal care, food prep and baking, physical challenge, exploring the natural world, gardening outside and in the polytunnel, Yoga, music and movement, stories and songs in a nurturing and stimulating environment with plenty of time to learn through structured and child led play.
I promote kindness and respect for the environment and each other, independence, curiosity and fun. There is a strong emphasis on learning outdoors in all seasons.
This is a TV/phone/camera free environment encouraging a lifelong love of the outdoors, books, music, conversation and connection with others.
There is a sleepy cat and free range hens on site.
All meals and snacks are home made and prepared on the premises. Suitable outdoor clothing is supplied by The Willows ChildCare.
Small sized daycare offering individual attention with a maximum of 4 children a day and only 1 baby under one year a day.
My Experience
I am an energetic retired doctor who has always had a special interest in early childhood development and education. I live with my daughter who is in her 20s in a beautiful village just outside Beccles with a large house and garden. My 4 daughters were raised in New Zealand with a outdoor focused childhood.
I spent a year previously childminding alongside my part-time medical work and the opportunity arose to pursue childminding as a full time career recently. I have also been caring for and teaching my 2.5 yr old granddaughter 3 days a week since she was 3 months old.
My Qualifications
I am Ofsted registered and have training in Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, Level 3 Safeguarding, am DBS checked and have undertaken the Department of Education training for the Early Years.
My Availability
I am available 48 weeks of the year Monday to Thursday 8-5pm. Full days only.
No school pick ups or drop offs.
I am closed Bank Holidays, Christmas and Easter weeks and for 2 weeks in the summer.

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
Funded places are available for all children ages 9 months to 5 years according to Government criteria. I am able to offer stretched funding across the year.
Tax free childcare available.
Unfunded /private fees are £8/hr or £72 a day. Fees are all inclusive.
