My Summary
About Me
Hello, My name is Evie and I live in Cranleigh. I'm a graphic designer by trade but I was always very passionate about working with children and childcare.
I like to share my art and design passion with young people and children as well as using it as a way to communicate and connect with them.
I have several years of childcare experience and have worked with families previously in Weybridge, Esher and Surbiton.
I’m very warm, caring and patient person with a can-do attitude that has loads of enthusiasm and love to give.
In my free time I like to go walking or cycling, do some drawing or read a good book. I also like cinema and going to concerts but when I'm at home gardening and cooking/ eating :) good food is something that I enjoy most.
I’m now looking for a position where I can make a real impact, develop my passions and would give me the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life.
My Experience
I was tasked from an early age to help raise my younger brother and sister as well as doing occasion childcare for family and friends.
This made me more empathetic towards other people's physical and emotional needs but also taught me resilience and adaptability as well as thinking on my feet.
This experience helped me to succeed in my Au Pair and nanny jobs in Surrey. I have over 6 years of experience in the UK alone. I'm confident with working with children in all ages (newborn to pre-teens) and helping to establish routines as well as support with sleep or potty training. I don't drive but I'm very comfortable walking and doing drop offs and pickups from nursery or school. I'm happy to help with housework and meal prep for children. Recently I also provided some occasion support with SEN child in the area which I found really rewarding and enjoyable and would be happy to enhance my knowledge and skills in this area. I'm creative and fun person that likes to get stuck in and encourage children to explore their interests and express themselves. I believe in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive both emotionally and developmentally. My experience has taught me the importance of active listening and communication, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met while also promoting cooperation and social skills among peers.
My Qualifications
Kingston University, 2010 – 2012 Graphic Communications Foundation Degree (FDA)
Brooklands College, 2005 – 2009 HND in Graphic Design
