About Me
I have extensive experience babysitting and tutoring children of various ages, and have worked primarily in a pastoral capacity in two of the UKs top boarding schools. I am currently a postgraduate student at the University of York, and have time and energy to work alongside my studies. I can provide a fun, engaging and safe childcare service, prioritising children's wellbeing.
My Experience
As a Boarding Assistant at the Dragon School and a Resident Tutor at Wycombe Abbey, I have been responsible for the care and supervision of students, ensuring their wellbeing, organising engaging activities, and fostering a positive environment. I have experience managing morning and bedtime routines, supervising mealtimes, and providing emotional support, including resolving friendship conflicts and caring for unwell children.
I am trained in safeguarding and first aid, making me well-equipped to handle a variety of situations with care. I communicate in a positive and friendly manner with children ensuring a trusting and supportive relationship. My experience leading extracurricular activities and trips has strengthened my ability to plan fun, safe, and educational experiences for children.
In the past I have babysat for multiple families, and have also privately tutored children. With my background in pastoral care, and warm, friendly approach, I can provide responsible and engaging babysitting services.
My Qualifications
I have a clean DBS check and drivers licence, and have partaken in safeguarding and first aid training. I have 9 GCSEs grades A-B including English and Maths, and A Levels (History, Grade A, English Literature, Grade B and Biology, Grade C). I have a first class degree in History of Art from the University of York
