About Me
Family with a lovely, happy and friendly 18 year old daughter who has autism and a learning disability. She attends a day service and also enjoys spending time with her PAs independently of her parents.
My Requirements
We are looking for a PA on an ongoing basis (not a temporary role) to work up to approximately thirty hours a month, over five or six shifts (a mixture of evenings and weekend afternoons). Shifts are very flexible and we arrange them month to month.
Help at home in evenings involves helping her with her bedtime routine, giving her her evening medication and snack. She is continent/toilet trained so there is minimal personal care involved.
Outings at weekends include taking her for lunch (all meals and expenses provided on outings) and out on bus to cinema or various attractions (expenses can be arranged if you are a driver). She enjoys her outings and does not display physically challenging behaviour, but needs supervision to keep her safe and support to help her communicate.
This role has a contract (PAYE role), and also holiday pay of 5.6 weeks a year. It would suit someone looking for regular guaranteed hours and the chance to make a real difference to someone's life. Our daughter loves the time she spends away from her parents.
Salary negotiable for the right applicant. We anticipate the right person will have training and a good amount of experience in working with complex needs. A female PA is preferred.
