About Me
My name is Dan and I live in South Manchester. I have had multiple roles within childcare organisations including out of school management. Within these roles I have achieved childcare based qualifications. I’m an artist and I am always looking for opportunities to be creative with children and young people!
My Experience
I worked as a Club Manager at an out of school childcare service in South Manchester. I also worked as an Assistant Manager at the third biggest out of school club in Scotland for just over 2 years.
I currently work in theatre, where I work with a theatre company of 9 learning disabled actors. Here, I run the theatre school provision where I design and run sessions for over 30 Learning Disabled and/or Neurodivergent young people.
My Qualifications
I achieved a first class degree at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, this was in a creative degree, but during my time studying I worked within various social engagement environments and learned a lot about working within vulnerable groups, including young people and children.
During my time working within schools I achieved my NVQ Level 7 in Playwork and I completed a 6 month course on Understanding Autism within young people.
