My Summary
About Me
Hi! My name is Maria, I am currently doing a PhD in Education at Bangor University.
I’m passionate about working with children and supporting their development in fun and engaging ways. I have experience as a Special Needs Learning Mentor at Abbey School in Chester, where I supported children with a variety of learning, physical and emotional needs. I have provided therapy-based programs both at home and at school for autistic young people, where I utilized a child-centered approach and Positive Behavior Support (PBS) to guide my practice.
I bring high energy, creativity, and a love for fun activities into everything I do. I’m always looking for ways to make learning enjoyable and engaging by focusing on each child’s interests and needs. I find creative ways to engage children in activities that tap into their interests and encourage exploration.
Teaching and supporting practical life skills, and promoting independence, is a very important aspect of my practice, as I believe it empowers children to take on new challenges and grow with confidence.
I love climbing, hiking, and outdoor activities, and enjoy reading and playing board games in my downtime.
My goal is to create a supportive, positive, and fun environment for your child where they can grow, learn, and thrive!
