About Me
Welcome to Little Daisy's Childminding. My name is Charlie and I live in Brownhills with my partner and our wild and wonderful blended family. I have 2 children of my own plus 4 bonus children, aged from 1-19 so we keep ourselves very busy :)
I am currently awaiting my pre-registration visit from Ofsted but cannot wait to get started working with the little ones to provide a home from home, safe, fun, engaging, learning environment for them.
I will be following the EYFS to support each child to develop to their full potential ready for when they head off to school. We will be a play focused setting as we believe children learn best through play so will do our best to make their time with us a fun, learning experience.
We think being outside and getting into the local community is essential for children to learn about the world around them so we will spend a lot of time exploring, whatever the weather :)
We love messy play, arts and crafts, imaginative play and singing and dancing here so your littles can enjoy exploring lots of different textures, materials, activities and develop their inner artists!
Opening hours will be Monday - Friday 07:00-17:00 term time and Monday - Thursday 07:00-17:00 during school holidays; I am happy to be flexible around those hours where possible to suit working parents as I know how difficult it can be to find childcare to fit around working hours.
I offer a safe, clean, home from home environment. I am based just off Brownhills high street so there are plenty of transport links to get to us and this also means we are very lucky to have a wide range of local services to access with your littles for them to get to know the community around them.
I will be offering before and after school care including morning drop off and afternoon pick up from Watling Street Primary school. Other local school pick ups may also be available depending on time (we are located very closely to St James primary school).
I have all the required qualifications and lots of experience of working with children in a variety of settings and will continue to do any training available for my own CPD to ensure I can provide the best standard of care for your littles.
As parents, I offer you a childminder who understands how hard it is to leave your little ones to go back to work as I was that anxious parent that didn't want to leave my child so please be assured I will do my best to keep them happy and make sure they have the best time with us to give parents and caregivers peace of mind.

My Experience
As well as being a parent to 6 wonderful children (2 of my own and 4 bonus children) I come from a large family with lots of little ones who I regularly care for.
I studied Special Needs, Inclusion Studies and Education studies (BA Hons Degree) at university and completed a placements in a nursery setting whilst completing my studies.
I have worked in social care working with a variety of ages but in particular, children with additional needs, Autism and behavioural needs.
Most recently I have been working as a level 3 teaching assistant in a school and work in a class of wonderful students whom all have additional needs so I have a wide variety of experience in different settings (social care and educational) and working with children with SEN and SEND also.
My Qualifications
I hold the relevant qualifications for this role including:
2:1 BA Hons Degree Special Needs, Inclusion studies and Educations studies
Currently completing NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Home Based Childcare - Childminder - due to be completed in July 2025.
Level 3 Paediatric first aid
Safeguarding Children and Designated Lead
DFE Early years child development training
I complete weekly training with Childcare.co.uk to keep my knowledge and practice up to date and relevant.
I will continue to complete all statutory and mandatory training as required and ensure all my training is up to date.
Insured to transport children via car.
My Availability
Monday - Friday 07:00-17:00 term time
Monday - Thursday 07:00-17:00 school holidays.
I am happy to be flexible around those hours where possible.
Drops offs and picks up to/from Watling street primary school (AM/PM). Other local school pick ups may be available depending on times; St James Primary school is located very closely to our setting.
We do not collect or drop off children to/from home.
Any holidays I may have, you will be given sufficient notice of.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
£6.00 per hour
We accept government funding; 9 months, 2 years and 3/4 year funding.
We accept Tax free childcare.
We do not provide meals so do NOT charge for this. Parents/caregivers are required to provide children with a healthy lunch and their snacks for the day.
