Hi! I'm a friendly, empathetic, and creative tutor and babysitter who is specialised in piano and English-language teaching. I am passionate about children's education, and aim to make it as enjoyable and engaging as possible for my students. For babysitting, I believe in developing strong relationships and creating a safe and playful environment where learning can still be continued. I am also a singer, songwriter & music producer with a love for reading and baking!
My Experience
Since 2023, I have been teaching beginner-level piano to children aged 5-10, tailoring my lessons to fit their individual needs. In my lessons I prioritise creativity, imagination, and communication, and engage students in practices such as improvisation, songwriting, and composition. I have been babysitting since 2017, providing support for neighbours and family-friends, as well as for my piano students outside of lessons, assisting with homework and engaging children in creative activities and games. I have also worked as an EFL (English as a Foreign Language) Teacher, planning and delivering English lessons to groups of up to 17 students.
My Qualifications
CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching for Adults): Grade A (highest grade)
Bachelor's of Music from the University of Birmingham: First Class with Honours
A Levels in English Literature, History, and Music: AAA
GCSEs: 8 A*s, 2 As
My Availability
I am a self-employed musician and my schedules vary, so I am unable to commit to a regular schedule e.g. school pickup & dropoff. However, I am happy to take on adhoc babysitting duties or for specific dates.
