About Me
My husband and I are starting to look into childcare options for our little one, due this October. I’ll be going back to work in summer 2026, so we’re hoping to find a lovely childminder or nursery for when that time comes.
My Requirements
- Looking for care from late summer 2026 (baby will be around 9–10 months old)
- Near Mytchett or surrounding areas (e.g. Frimley, Farnborough, Ash Vale, Ash)
- Safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
- Clean and well-equipped setting with outdoor space
- Inclusive, diverse setting that reflects and celebrates different cultures and backgrounds
- Warm and responsive approach to building attachments
- Gentle, child-led routines
- Supportive of developmental milestones and early learning through play
- Age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities
- Opportunities for socialisation (e.g. playgroups, outings)
- Books, toys and resources that reflect cultural diversity
- Paediatric first aid trained
- Clear policies on illness, medication, and safeguarding
- Regular updates (verbal, diary or app) about baby’s day
- Open, honest communication
- Willingness to work in partnership with us as parents
- Able to offer 15 hours free childcare for working parents (from Sept 2025 eligibility)
- Clear explanation of how funded hours are used, and any additional costs
