About Me
I can provide high quality face to face or online tutoring in a range of subjects to suit all needs and abilities. I primarily work with children aged between 5 and 11 years (school academic years 1-6).
Some of the subjects I can offer tutoring for include:
# Reading
KS1 & KS2 SATs preparation and revision, phonics, comprehension, inference skills, etc.
# Writing
KS1 & KS2 SATs preparation and revision, spelling, punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, etc.
# Maths
KS1 & KS2 SATs preparation and revision, basic skills, fractions, multiplication, division, problem solving, etc.
I specialise in teaching children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, particularly neurodivergent children (Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyscalculia, etc). I am also trained to deliver a range of interventions designed to enhance social communication skills (e.g. LEGO Therapy, emotional literacy, and socially speaking, etc).
I offer a very personalised learning approach and will carry out initial assessments to determine specific targets and objectives to focus on. I will track and share your child’s progress regularly and can liaise with your child’s school setting/class teacher if necessary. I aim to make sessions as engaging and enjoyable as possible.
My Experience
Fully qualified teacher with over 13 years experience of teaching the primary national curriculum. I have a masters degree specialising in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and I am currently employed as ‘Assistant Headteacher and SENCO’ at a local primary school.
I have had the pleasure of teaching a wide range of pupils over the years, and have taught in every year group (from year 1 to year 6) at some point during my career.

# National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO post graduate degree - Liverpool John Moores University, 2018).
# National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL post graduate qualification - School Improvement Liverpool, 2021).
# Future Heads Programme (Ambition Institute, 2024).
