AVAILABILITY FOR A RARE FUNDED SPACE FOR A BABY!
Welcome to Marianne's Childminding Service. I run a friendly and professional home from home setting. My interests are reading, cooking, baking, crafts and dance. I am an Ofsted registered childminder with 25 plus years experience working as a fully qualified early years practitioner and educator. I have been registered since July 2009 and consistently graded 'Good' for my inspections. We live on a nice quiet street in Wallington. My home is large, clean and I am an excellent cook. Non smoking and no pets.
We regularly visit local parks, Deen City farm, local museums soft play and play groups. A variety of fun and stimulating activities at home are also offered with a strong focus on becoming ready for school. This includes arts and crafts, stories, mini disco, dance, cooking, singing, puzzles, games, messy play and mud play! Children make excellent progress in all areas of development.
We are a small group so the children get the individual attention that they need. Children settle well due to our calm, homely environment and they are well supported during transitions. My own children are aged 16 and 9 years. We are a nice bunch of people seeking like-minded families.

Marianne has looked after my son for the past year, from September 23 - August 24.
Leo settled in very quickly and was happy to attend. Mariannes routines was clearly explained at the beginning and the days were planned in advance to benefit the children. Local trips to the park, farm, soft play and woodlands were enjoyed very much.
Marianne was always keen to develop the next mile stones with Leo and to help his progress, communicating with all child care settings involved with Leo.
Marianne is a very kind, caring childminder and I would highly recommend her.
Marianne has been a childminder to our son since he was 1 year old. At the age of 3 it is time for us to move on, but we are very grateful for Marianne's help and support over the years. First of all, we were very impressed with the number of activities our son could take part in and knowing that he had quality time during the day was very important to us. Marianne organised lots of outdoor trips such as trips to the museum, library, local farm, garden centre, play groups as well as indoor activities such as art projects. painting, reading etc. Marianne is very caring and our son loved spending time in her setting. She has contributed a great deal towards his developmental milestones including first steps, words, potty training and now transition to nursery. Thank you Marianne!
We had our younger one Samuel started when he was one and half. It didn't take long for him to settle in. We always feel Marianne is professional and experienced. Samuel really learnt a lot in the past two years. We sometimes drop our older one during holiday term too and it really is worry free for us. Now that Samuel is moving to school nursery, it's sad to say good bye but we will certainly come back during holiday term. We would not hesitate to recommend Marianne to any of our friends!
Marianne is a wonderful child minder who I would gladly recommend to anyone. She was caring for my son from the age of 9months until nearly 4 years old and he loves her. She gave him lots of attention and he adores her. I was sad to send him to nursery but he was ready to handle a class environment.
To be a good child minder, you have to have so much patience and love what you do, which it is clear when viewing Marianne. She takes the time to know each child she cares for, ensuring she adjusts to the child's needs and caters to the parents requests. She always fed the children well and followed the plan regarding what you allowed your child to eat, providing fresh food every day. She would always tell the parent about the child's development and any concerns.
I can't thank her enough for all she has done, ensuring that my son enjoyed himself while exploring his surroundings. She did all the things I would have done with Max if I was not at work. She always took them out to places several times a week, to stay and plays, the library, the farm and the park. She has a decent sized garden which the children would play also.
Marianne has the training to help develop your child to be as expressive they will be in a safe environment. My son was never bored or complained. He always hurried to see Marianne which is a good sign of their fondness for each other.
Marianne always informed parents of how your child was doing and would work with the parent to cater to next goal which the child was able to achieve such as learning to feed himself or the hard task of potty training which she did with my son. I had no complaints with her and although it's a hard job to do each day, she always did her best.
As a parent, one of the most difficult leaps of faith to make is that of who to trust your child’s security, welfare and happiness with. Before we contacted Marianne, we tried a nursery and felt uncomfortable with the surroundings; too many children, messy, noisy and chaotic, stressed out carers etc.
Marianne’s calm and friendly demeanor instantly put us at ease, as we could see how our toddler would appreciate the relaxed, easy-going atmosphere in her cosy house. She keeps the numbers of children she looks after very small, so that she can provide close attention, encourage play and create a bond. Our son settled in very quickly, enjoying his time spent there.
I write this recommendation without any hesitation what-so-ever. Marianne exceeded our expectations and we believe she is a wonderful childminder. All her food is home-cooked with fresh ingredients. Communication, punctuality, attention to detail and warmth all at a very high standard.
