About Me

My name is Mirka. I am a professional fully qualified nanny with over 20 year-experiences in the UK, caring for children from newborns to early teens. Also, I am a mum to two very active girls.

I am DBS checked. I hold all relevant childcare qualifications (NVQ2 / BTEC / Diploma level 3 in childcare and young people workforce) and have up-to-date Paediatric First Aid training and have recently qualified as a Maternity Nurse.

As a nanny, I have encountered a variety of children of different ages and family situations which have shaped me into a flexible and quick thinking worker. I am an energetic person and passionate about my career as a nanny. I like to develop a personal relationship with the children and provide a caring and supportive environment throughout their early years. I ensure that each child has my undivided attention and I am able to help them grow as individuals in confidence. I am organized and able to manage hectic children’s schedules. I believe in positive reinforcement and like to praise, encourage and reward good behavior.

Safety is my utmost concern and I carefully monitor children when I take them on outgoings to the park or to museums. I understand good nutritional choices and I carefully prepare meals that are healthy and balanced as well as tasty.

I have had a great relationship with all the families and the children I have looked after. I have left them only because the children have now grown past the ages at which they need a nanny. I left my last position because I went off to have my own children.

I have great verbal communication skills and I always sit down with the parents on a regular basis to discuss their children’s growth, possible issues, and general expectations.

I am looking for evening babysittings. I am available Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Also I am available for occasional overnights.
