I am a single Mum, working full time in London, we live in Colchester, Essex. My son is almost 9 and is in Year 4. He has SEN one to one support at school, with an EHCP in place. He is diagnosed with ADHD and PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance). Experience of working with SEN children is essential.

My son has just started in alternative provision following a difficult half term since January where he has been out of school.
He goes to Brinkley Grove Primary School in Highwoods & alternative provision in Chelmsford 3 days a week, alternative provision in Colchester the other 2 days a week. I need after school and potentially respite childcare for him, to give him a good routine and the 121 care he needs whilst I have to work full time. I am looking for a childminder with a small setting, with. good understanding of SEN.

Initially the routine for the next 3 months would be as follow:
Term Time:
Monday, Wednesday & Friday
4.30pm-7.00pm (After school he is currently dropped off at home in a taxi from Chelmsford, arrival time approx 5pm/tea/after school activities/bath maybe, until I get home from work. He could be dropped off at a childminders and I can collect from there)

My son is in alternative provision for the next three months, after which we are hoping to transition him back to his normal school routine.

I'm hoping with the right person, I could have some time to have some respite care to allow me to recharge, as I am the full time resident parent too.

I'm hoping to find someone who can look after him in our home, take him for trips out, do crafts, fun activities at home and provide food and care for him.
He loves interacting with other children, being outdoors, riding his bike and scooter.

My son is a lively little boy, who loves Lego, construction toys, trains, cars, football, dinosaurs - all the usual boy things!
