My Experience

I have been in full-time work since qualifying as a Nursery Nurse in 1986; mainly working in the private sector as a Nanny and have experience with children birth - 12yrs. I spent 9 years working in West London as a Nanny to 5 children so have hands on experience with a large amount of children between the ages of 9yrs - newborn.

I became a Childminder when my little boy had had enough of going to 'work' with his mummy; not wanting to put him in day care while I went to look after other children, the obvious choice was to turn my talents to Childminding.
I offer everything from drawing, painting, playdough, cooking, pre-reading,pre-writing skills, a large assortment of books for various ages, building blocks, train track, farm and zoo animals, dressing up area, imaginative corner, kitchen and role play equipment aswell as exciting trips out to various parks, farms, playcentres, local walks to the woods, feeding the ducks, visits to the local library, and the regular walk to school twice a day in term time; everything a little one would want to get involved with.
Our motto at Lakeside Childcare is simple 'Its all about having fun'

Ofsted Inspections over the past 10yrs were GOOD - OUTSTANDING - GOOD (last inspection was July 2020)

My Availability

I am available 5 days a week 7.30 - 5.30pm
Breakfast is provided, but lunch must be a packed lunch box. Due to Covid 19 I have had to change my meal options. After school warm snacks are offered, toasted crumpets, tea cakes and toast along with fruit are provided, along with healthy snacks and drinks.
Clear lidded boxes are provided for indoor/outdoor shoes, coats and spare clothes.
I offer a fully equiped outside playroom, with indoor space which leads straight out onto the decking. .. Toys are available for all ages, trikes, balls, bikes. Water play only at the minute (Covid guidelines suggests we don’t use sand as yet) dolls and prams, rocker toys and numerous outdoor equipment available.
I have provision for babies and toddlers; quiet room and rest room; downstairs WC with faciilities for nappy changing.

My Fees

• Childminding from £6.00 per hour
• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
