About Me

I HAVE FOUND MY NEXT POSITION
I am looking for a 3/4 day nanny role from late June/early July 2020. Ideally located around Balham/Clapham area but I am flexible.

I consider myself a fun and energetic but level-headed and well organised individual. I am very interested in a career working with children and as I have gained valuable experience in working with a variety of children, particularly those considered vulnerable and I am keen to continue developing my skills and knowledge within this field. My vast experiences have moulded me into a friendly, outgoing person with a passion for working with children and the eagerness to learn and adapt to new and different environments. I feel that I have developed a range of skills and knowledge in the world and development of children and a keen interest in this area of work. With more than ten years experience caring for children of all ages in various settings; I am hoping to find a loving family to welcome me into their home. As a graduate with a 2:1 BA (Hons) degree in Childhood studies and Guidance and Counselling, I have ample knowledge into the development and the lives of children and how to care for and support their needs. Due to my knowledge on the EYFS and the core eight developmental stages of child development gained through my degree, I wholly understand and can practice the importance of play and exploration for infants and toddlers. I have a keen interest in early child development and Psychotherapy, of which I an enhancing through further research and education throughout my MEd in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy at Cambridge University completing in Spring 2021. With vast experience working in schools, nurseries, crèches, children camps, Sure Start and Barnardos groups, alongside recent previous nannying; I have ample skills developed within practice of which will be valuable when caring for your precious little ones. I feel more than confident in my ability to care for new-borns and toddlers and the duties that come with this – weaning, cooking, sleep training, potty training etc. I have extensive experience with new-born children up to teenage children and I am able to design creative and fun activities for each age range. I have ample experience working with pre-school children. I am also honoured to be a God-mother and Auntie to three gorgeous little divas and I love the responsibilities and happiness this brings.

Throughout my childhood I always enjoyed caring for younger children and my interest in childcare was further enhanced through my time at university where I studied Childhood Studies and Guidance and Counselling. It was degree that stemmed my fascination in child behaviour and led me to explore opportunities to work closely with children. During my time at university I immersed myself in numerous voluntary opportunities with children, aiding their development and supporting their learning and growth through stimulating and creating activities. I then re-located to London to begin my career in working with children and I secured a position at a secondary school as a Behaviour Specialist Higher Learning TA. Although my experience in schools was highly beneficial to me, I missed the chance to develop the personal relationships with children that I’d enjoyed so much previously. This transition from working within school environments and supporting vulnerable children who have had troublesome childhoods has inspired me to become a nanny and play a part in that significant developmental time. Having the opportunity to be a loving and meaningful figure within a child’s life inspires me to encourage happy and healthy childhoods, one to look back fondly on and cherish. One thing I’ve learnt over the last few years is that being such a close part of a child’s life, is so much more than a job, it develops an immense emotional bond with the children and the family as a whole. It forms a unique and personal relationship between employer and nanny and this has made me appreciate how much of an important decision is made; firstly for a family to welcome a new face into their home and secondly (just as importantly in my opinion) for the nanny to find a family they feel confortable enough with, to do their best work. I understand and appreciate the commitment that is made between family and the nanny and I am looking forward to playing an important part in your family, supporting you and encouraging wholesome growth and development for your children.

I am an enthusiastic, animated person who enjoys being busy. I have a lot of experience working within various professional environments and I enjoy the challenges and rewards this brings. I am a responsible, experienced, energetic and enthusiastic nanny, with a keen interest in children and their development. I am warm, creative, friendly, easy-going and I have the ability of developing close relationships with both children and their families. I have a strong passion for supporting a child's well-being and development and I believe I would be an asset to your family unit. I am available immediately and I am confident in my ability to educate, behaviour manage and build strong and positive relationships with children and their parents. I enjoy preparing healthy, age-appropriate meals (including organic/weaning meals for infants) and design creative activities indoors and outdoors that promote explorative and sensory play. I have a current DBS, a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate, a full, clean driving license and I am OFSTED registered. I also have three childcare references that are contactable now.
