If I had £1 for every time someone has told me I am lucky to have Emily I would be a rich woman! I am indeed very lucky. Emily joined me as a part time nanny about four and a half years ago. She became full time nearly three and a half years ago when I went back to work and left her with my 5.5 month old baby, my just-3 year old and my 5 year old. She has worked full time for me ever since, and the girls are currently 3.5, 6 and 8. She will (hopefully) stay full time for me until the little one goes to school.

Emily is fantastic. She is so caring with the children, so patient and loving. They absolutely adore her. She is truly like one of the family, and we cannot imagine doing without her. She knows what the girls like and what they need, and I always know they will be happy and well looked after. She is also a truly good person and completely reliable and trustworthy and kind.

Emily is incredibly organized - she organizes activities - one evening at the moment this includes taking both little girls swimming after school and then the big one to brownies and she still manages to get them all fed, hair washed and in bed on time, AND do reading and stories. She organizes their clothes, toys, books. She is brilliant at educational games and creative games and arts and crafts and cooking and walks (she walks the dog with the little one every day). She organizes activities in the holidays and can work on a tight budget if necessary.

The big ones are the fussiest eaters in the world but despite this she keeps trying to come up with new things and creating menus and cooking with them to try to encourage them to expand their repertoire. It is slowly working! The baby (basically raised by her) is not at all a fussy eater and I attribute this to her eating lunch every day with Emily and learning to enjoy a wide range of home cooked meals.

I could go on and on but probably you don't want to read too much. Suffice to say that Emily is the best nanny you will ever meet. She does so much more for me than look after the children. I don't know how I would have got through these years without her. I am seriously toying with the idea of having a fourth child so I can keep her for another five years. If I don't, and you get the chance to have her look after your precious child(ren), take it!

Emily worked as our nanny between July 2011 and October 2013, looking after our two children (a boy who is now 5 years old and a girl who is now 3 years old). During this time Emily was consistently reliable, honest and very trustworthy. Emily has an excellent rapport with children and ours think the world of her.

Emily collected our daughter from nursery at lunchtime and our son from school mid afternoon. She entertained them both with a range of activities including cooking, art and crafts, reading, writing, puzzles, indoor and outdoor games as well as trips to the park and library. In addition, she helped our son with his homework and prepared an evening meal for the children. She also prepared the children for bed and completed a nanny diary each day.

Emily was a fantastic nanny for us and we would recommend her without hesitation for any future nanny jobs.
