My Summary
About Me
If you’re looking for outstanding home-based childcare...you’ve come to the right place.
Little Hands Day Care was found to be Good with Outstanding elements by Ofsted in 2017.
We are located in the heart of East London, 2 minutes away from Upton Park Tube Station.
We are a small family orientated setting where the emphasis is on learning through play in a safe, happy and homely environment.
Your child’s first few years in the world are precious. Children develop quickly in the early years and home based learning is an essential part of their development.
Children at Little Hands Day Care benefit from a structured routine with learning goals and objectives, just like a pre-school or nursery, but from within a relaxed and familiar environment, with a smaller group of children and a sense of family.
We value the importance of real life experience learning, e.g. being a part of the community, growing fruit and vegetables, feeding the animals at the farm and important social skills which are reinforced by learning alongside other children.
Being outdoors has a positive impact on a child’s sense of well-being and helps all aspects of child development. We love spending our days outdoors gaining first-hand contact with the weather, seasons and the natural world. We always plan our days around providing children with the freedom to explore, use their senses, and be physically active.
Children at Little Hands are encouraged to extend their learning and development with fun, excitement and enjoyment and develop their sense of investigation, curiosity and wonder of the world around them.
By closely following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework we support children to achieve their full potential. Careful planning ensures that all children at Little Hands are being provided with a rich and varied personal learning experience, establishing ‘school readiness’ and a solid foundation for good future progress through school and life.
Here at Little Hands we provide a happy and stimulating environment; to extend their learning and development with fun, excitement and enjoyment; and develop their sense of investigation, curiosity and wonder of the world around them. We will maintain a safe and secure space for children to confidently take part in activities, play, eat and sleep.
Little Hands offers continuity of care, where children can make friends and feel secure through their pre-school years and beyond, for as long as they need to attend, including after-school care and school holidays.
Little Hands treats children with patients, consideration and understanding and encourages the same in return.
When you place your child in someone else’s care you need complete peace of mind. Choosing Little Hands means you can be confident that your child is being looked after in a safe, home away from home environment, by professionals who can support and nurture their needs as they grow.
Little Hands Day Care is dedicated to achieving excellence in everything we do. We will continue to work hard and strive to provide families with the highest standards of childcare.

Little Hands DayCare is the only childminder for my children. I have known Shazia and family since 2016 and they are just amazing people, the setting is amazing. My children were really cared for! The communication was consistent and the kids were always happy staying in the setting. It was just an amazing feeling knowing I can go to work and have the reassurance that my kids will be looked after as if I was there.
We love "Auntie" Shazia and everyone! 5 star is not enough to rate Little Hands DayCare we need more stars! :)

I did use Little Hands Daycare for more 3 years for my now 5 years old boy and I can sincerely affirm that Little Hands DayCare was a second family for my son ( I did think if it was not the first one sometimes :-) ).
All the team has been amazing, providing fitted care and love to all children.
Let me give you 2 concrete examples:
- I use to go to dance on Friday evening right after having picked up my son. One day I arrived a bit earlier and my son came out with a big bag of fruit. It turned out that they made sure that my son was full enough when leaving their place so that he won't disturb me in my journey. I was speechless as I was not aware about it at all.
- Also during Covid as I was a single working mother at that time, they've done their best to arrange me within the framework of the council rules.
And these are only few examples. Thanks Little hands DayCare for everything you are doing and keep being who you are :-)

My 2 daughters had the pleasure of being cared for by little hands daycare. I was nervous at first like any mother for my children to be with someone new, but I was reassured my babies would be fine and soon settle in. They did exactly that and were welcomed with open arms each morning. Communication was consistent and I was updated with my daughters' progress. My daughters thoroughly enjoyed their time at LHD and miss attending there. LHD were caring, understanding and reliable especially as I worked late and very supportive throughout lockdown, checking on my family and I. I'm truly grateful and highly recommend.

I would like to day how happy I am with little hands day care. Going back to work after maternity wasn’t easy especially when you need to leave your baby with someone you don’t know but I am very lucky to have found little hands day care! When meeting Shazia and her family at their home for the first time I knew straight away that my son was going to love being there and I wouldn’t need to worry when leaving him because they were all welcoming, professional and trustworthy.
Her home environment is clean and great space for the kids to play with lots of indoor and outdoor toys ,they have posters on walls with pictures and activities for the children to learn from all ages, she takes them to play groups and other facilities which are incredible for learning development as I can see how clever my son has become.
Auntie Shazia is very flexible and that is a bonus for us as we always have last minute changes from work and you know you can rely on her. A book is provided and photos sent with our sons progress which is amazing as it gives us an understanding of what his doing and encourages us to also do other things with him at home.
I couldn’t ask for anyone better to look after my son he is always happy when he goes to Auntie Shazia house.
If you are looking for a childminder I would highly recommend little hands day care.

Shazia has been childminding my children 5 days a week. I have been extremely happy with the care my children received, and the great progress they made whilst in shazia care.
Shazia home is always welcoming, clean and the food that she provided healthy with good personal hygiene.
She also provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise.
Shazia is a great communicator and has no trouble, I always respect her and her family.
I would absolutely recommend shazia ( little hands daycar) as a great and reliable child minder.

In October 2016, I had to resume work and was looking for a childminder with a clean house , great nursery setting and comfortable for my daughter Rhea. I then came across Shazia where I felt so welcoming in her clean house, felt like I was in a private nursery with all the dust free toys ,books and charts on the wall. She went through the policies and her methods of childminding which was great. Shazia didn’t even take advantage of my situation and even charge me a flat rate for a block of hours. Being first time mum , it was hard for me to leave my 2year old daughter with a stranger however I trusted Shazia who really greatly helped us. My daughter adapted very easily to her and made friends easily .she enjoyed every activities session and also brought home some great creations on special occasion. She would talk so much of what she has done at Aunty Shazia. Shazia was very flexible and also helped me out with the early hours of the morning.she also did the drop off and pick up of Rhea from St Edwards school.Ungortunately we moved to another borough and is unable to continue. I would highly recommend her for her trustworthyand excellent friendly childminding services. I am really thankful for her looking after my daughter for the last 2 years.

I was initially very nervous about using a childminder in a home setting as my children have always been in private day care nurseries. Due to personal situation and work commitments - i decided to check it out as they were local to me and very reasonable. Immediately as soon as i stepped in I realised this was not an ordinary setting. Great attention to detail and care has gone into the setup. There is a large dedicated play and learn area fully equipped with what you find at the usual day centres! The garden was also full of toys crearing an even more imaginative and creative setting. My children are very young and incredibly shy & inwas concerned about pulling them out of the daycentre. I had little choice due to the financial burden of a private daycentre. I was worried like all parents, about how they would find the change of environment and atmosphere and whether or not they would be aboe to adjust etcetc. I dont know why i was so worried! I cannot even begin to explain the sense of relief! Shazia was amazing from the get go. She is incredible with the kids and so loving. She took on board all the feedback from previous nursery and took time to go over their folders and also took extra care with the settling in. She gave me daily updates throughout the day because it soon became clear i was the one who needed settlinf in and not the kids! They loved their first day and she went above and beyond. The kids absolutely adore her and the family. They are hands on and quick to answer questions and solve any issues. Food was always healthy and lots of various options so that was also amazing!!! Feedback and updates at the end of the day is always important and she always made time every day. Honestly, after having 4 kids and working full time i have been through so many nurseries. I wish i found her sooner - not only would i have saved money but i would have got the one thing that money cant buy - genuine compassion and totally dedicated to the safeguarding and learning of my children. Although my children have now started full time primary school - they can never forget her and neither will we. Im.forever grateful to shazia and her lovely fanily who have been so supportive and nurturing.

When I was looking for childcare I interviewed 8 ladies for the position. My eight month old daughter chose Shazia as she refused to engaged or make eye contact with any of the other ladies. Shazia and her family made us feel welcomed, she explained how she planned to take care of my children, I raised some concerns I had and she was more that happy to listen and put things in place to support me and my family. I was the first parent to leave my children in Shazia’s childcare setting my daughter was 8 months old and my son 4 years of age at that time.
I have now had the pleasure of knowing Shazia for twelve years, during which I have gotten to know to know her very well. My children, and all other children who spend time around Shazia, have a great deal of fun and are never bored. I have never in the twelve years of knowing Shazia ever regretted having her as my childcare provider in fact she has been the best thing that has happened to us; she has supported our family and made my children feel like her family. I can go to work with peace of mind knowing my children will be looked after with the highest of standards.
But that's not the quality that makes for a good childcare provider. Shazia is able to walk that fine line between "the fun one" and "the disciplinarian." That is not an easy task, but Shazia manages it with ease, and as such is able to retain the children's respect. We may not always think that a child respecting us is important, but it really does go a long way in keeping a child (and, in the process, his/her caregiver) happy. Shazia ability to gain a child's respect convinces me that she is destined to be in this line of work. My daughter now aged 12 is currently still in her setting and doesn’t want to leave, now this alone speaks volumes.

My daughter was 9 months old when she went to Little Hands Daycare for the first time and it was the best place I could ever pick. For over 5 years Shazia and her husband have been fantastic childminders to my daughter. They are very caring, warm and kind childminders amazing with children with years of experience and passion.
