About Me

MOST RECENT POST.
My most recent post is picking up a five year old boy from school, taking him home and playing and caring for him until Mum gets home. This post will be finishing shortly as the Mum is having a baby and so stopping working very soon. (Both her and her husband are Doctors working for the NHS.

New post at Rothwell, picking up 2 four-year-old boys from school, taking them home, and playing and caring for them until Mum and Dad came home from work. The boys' Grandma has now taken over this role.

Finished caring for Noah. He is now 2years old and is starting at the large nursery on Street lane. I really enjoyed my time with Noah and will miss him, but children grow up and move onto another stage of their lives.

Started caring for an 8-month little boy. Mum is a dentist and works in Shipley and dad is an Accountant and is working at home at the moment. Noah is an adorable little boy usually happy and just gets grumpy when tired. I have been caring for Noah for 4 afternoons a week, playing at home with his toys, feeding him, and taking him to the park every day.

At the moment I am available most time. My most recent post was picked up from school on Monday and Wednesday. Providing tea and caring for 6yr old girl at her home until one of the parents came home. I have been doing this post for 2years but with the lockdown, this stopped in March. The child's mum has been working at home and has now decided to carry on doing this until at least next year. Before the lockdown, I was also looking after a newborn for two days a week for a family whose children I have cared for previously. This mum is still on maternity leave but now lockdown has been lifted I do the occasional babysitting in the evening. I have become friends with all the children's families that I have cared for and I am very fond of all the children I have worked with.

PREVIOUS POSTS.
Working with two families. One with two children who are now aged 13 and 9 (girl and boy) both go to Leeds Grammar School. I have worked with this family from Headingly for 6 years and we are very close. My work with this family is now an occasional school pickup. I have worked with the second family twice over the last 5 years. Originally, the family was a 2yr old girl and a newborn born and I cared for the children until the little boy was 3. There was a tragic accident involving the little boy and he passed away. The family had another little boy a couple of years later and I now do occasional babysitting when lockdown allows.
I also did work part-time for a small business that supplies childcare staff for creches but have stopped doing any regular venues and only really work when they need an extra member of staff again lockdown has affected my time here.

Happy to consider care between 8 and 8 pm and evening and weekend babysitting.

I am a mature mum. my children are now 27 and twins at 26, before having children I was a foster carer and I was a leader of a beaver group (boys before cub scouts). I have worked for the NHS, this was in the baby clinics where I helped the mums with dressing and undressing the baby and putting them to be weighed, Ofsted early years which was checking all the documentation for childminders and nurseries and the West Yorkshire police in a communications capacity. I have been checked regularly by the DBS due to the nature of these posts and the last time for the full DBS check was in 2020 I really enjoy being with young children but obviously, I am quite used to managing children of any age.

I could work early morn up to early evening or late evening occasionally if required. I would prefer the work to be part-time. I do have access to a car. so mobility is no problem. I really enjoy being with children and I am happy to go to the park or library or do activities in the house or garden.
Please note that I am not a registered childminder so if I looked after your children you would not be able to claim with the child vouchers. I would be happy to discuss any proposals for work that you have so please initially contact me via email.
