About Me

I am married to Martin and have 2 children born 2003 and 2006 they both attend Nottingham Emmanuel School . We live in a large detatched, child friendly house with a large modern open plan family area, dining and kitchen, with downstairs toilet facilities which leads directly onto an enclosed garden with many interesting and fun actvities available. My spare bedroom is set up as a nursery with cots and a monitor to allow good quality sleep if needed. Our home is located in Compton Acres, West Bridgford in a quiet cul de sac. We have a lovely 7 year old terrier/lurcher cross dog called Wispa who the children all love, she is very friendly and happy around children. We are 5 minutes walk from the local parks and toddler groups/activities. We usually visit either a toddler group, soft play centre, library or class or go out on a trip most days this includes farm trips, strawberry/pumpkin/fruit picking visits to Sherwood Pines and Rufford Country Park, and Greens Windmill and during the summer trips to the lido on the Embankment.

I believe that children thrive and learn best in the outdoors and when the weather is appropriate we can usually be found outside in the park or woods. I am currently training to be a Forest School practitioner which will hopefully enable us to do lots more exciting activities out in the forest.

In my latest Ofsted Inspection in December 2019 I was rated as high Good.

I work closely with 2 other childminders and we know each other's children well between us we can cover each other in rare times of sickness.

I have been a registered Childminder in West Bridgford Since 2008.

I provide full home cooked nutritional dinners and tea and can also provide breakfast if required.

After school pick ups from Heymann School, West Bridgford.

I am very committed to my Childminding practice and spend a lot of time and energy ensuring that the children in my care have as good all round life experience as my own children and minded children are welcomed into my home and become part of our now very large family.
