About Me

Hi, I'm Helen, I have 16 years experience in childcare, currently as a nanny for 8.5 years, and previously in a nursery for 7.5 years. I'm ideally looking for 2 days per week, but will also consider more/less days. I have recently moved to West Sussex in June 2024, from Surrey.

In my free time I enjoy reading, walks, baking, coffee with friends, the cinema; I also love animals.

My Experience

My current role as a sole charge nanny is looking after a 4y old boy and 2y old girl 3 days a week.
We usually go out to play groups & classes, playdates, the park/library etc; and I plan activities using the EYFS for age appropriate activities covering the areas of development.
I enjoy planning activities around a theme e.g. setting up a Pets theme tuff tray with different food/bedding/vet set, getting animal books from the library, and going to see pets at the pet shop.

I was previously looking after a 7y old boy and 4y old girl three days a week (June 2020 - June 2024). And a 3.5 year old girl on the other 2 days a week (Sept 2021 - June 2024). And also looking after an 8y old girl after school on 3 days (previously 1 full day a week, Jan 2018 - June 2024).

Before that I looked after 6y old and 3y old girls (from ages 18m-6y & birth-3y, Jan 2016 to Aug 2020).

I had a 3.5 month temp nanny job with 1.5 year old and 3.5 year old boys (Aug-Dec 2017).
I also had a 3 month temp nanny job with 1 year old and 5 year old boys (Apr-Jul 2017).

Previously I worked in a day nursery with babies aged 3m-2y for 7.5 years (2008-2016). For the last 3 years of that I was Head of Unit of the Baby Care room.

My Qualifications

I hold the CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (equivalent to an NVQ 3)

I also have a DBS check, First Aid training (2022), Safeguarding Children (2023).

My Availability

I'm looking for 2 full days per week, Tuesdays and Fridays. Or if you are looking for just 1 of those days, or more days/full time, please get in touch too. Ideally around 10h+ per day.

I'm available any time from now.
