About Me
Hi, my name is Cathy, I am an ofsted registered childminder and have been for over 20 years, I live in the Woolton Hunts Cross area of the city very close to the train station at Hunts Cross, so useful for parents working in the city centre or needing to access the motorways
I collect from St James preschool and Holy Family Halewood
I currently have a limited places from 4 months to school age and also do pickups from a local school.
I also babysit in the child's home to allow parents some down time
I am currently a gold member so parents can contact me for free for any further info
My Experience
I am a mother myself and have been a childminder for over 20 years, I have a designated playroom which is equipped with lots of educational toys, downstairs toilet facilities and a large fully enclosed garden with lots of outdoor equipment
I am an experienced childminder and provide a home from home environment for the little ones I care for who thrive and learn in my home. I visit playgroups and various parks/Woolton woods and occasional visits further afield.
I provide lunch plus morning and afternoon snacks.
Parents looking for a placement are invited to visit at a mutually convenient time to chat about childcare needs and look around and decide if this is the place for their child.
I understand how difficult it is for parents to leave their children with somebody else but the children are welcomed into my home and settle very quickly and enjoy playing and learning with their new friends

I work Tuesday to Thursday between 8.15am and 5.15pm with some flexibility
I currently have limited places available
From September 2024 I will be available to collect from St James in Woolton Village, Holy Family Halewood or Woolton Primary preschools
I currently collect from Holy Family Halewood nursery and school
I may be able to collect from other local schools, please send me a message to enquire
I offer the 15 and 30 hours funding for eligible 2,3 & 4 year olds and am registered with the tax free childcare scheme

Cathy has looked after Bobby for two days a week since he was nine months old, he is now 4.
Cathy and her family (John and Faye) have welcomed Bobby into their lives, and they treat him like he is a part of their family. Bobby has formed a treasured relationship with them, and I know he feels safe and secure whenever he is in Cathy’s care. The environment Cathy has provided to Bobby has been outstanding, and as a mum its great to know Bobby is in very safe hands whenever he is with Cathy.
Cathy is truly brilliant. Her expertise, kindness and warmth have meant that Bobby felt very settled and at home quickly. He loves going to Cathy’s, and I know he will miss spending time with her and the other children in her care when he starts full time school in September.
Cathy provides a great learning environment for the children in her care, and she plans a wide range of crafts, messy play and other outdoor activities to keep the children both active and engaged. Activities out including days spent at local farms, football stadiums and local playgroups, all with advanced notice so you know where your children are always. She also keeps you regularly updated with photos and messages, so Bobby will have some fab memories to look back on and remember.
I genuinely can’t recommend Cathy highly enough and I credit both her and her family for helping our Bobby grow into the polite, bright, friendly and sociable little boy that he has become.
