I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder, rated 'Good' each time (March '10, August '15 and January '19). I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce.
I live in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, (with my husband Steve who is also my registered assistant). I have two lovely children; my daughter is 24 and my son is 18 years old. We are located roughly 7 minutes walk to the station.
We like being out and about, we socialise at toddler groups sometimes, the park, the farm, the woods, the zoo and local events. We are lucky to have green fields close by and Ashridge is a short journey away. I am part of the local childminder network and we sometimes meet up as a group, and cover holidays for each other if needed. My childcare list is small with eight children but we regularly meet up with other Childminders so the children are well socialised.
Through following your child's interests, their happiness, development and learning is achieved. All children are made to feel welcome and feel valued. Ours is a happy and loving environment - be reassured they will have a fun time, learning along the way.
We have a private enclosed garden. We now have a dog called Jess (4yrs old).
We are a non smoking house-hold.

My Experience
I have the experience of my own two children who are lovely. I have worked as an administrator, a PA, a teaching assistant, a lunch-time supervisor and as a pre-school play assistant. I began childminding in 2009 and still love looking after my littlies to see them grow up and move on. I’ve helped over 20 families since I began childminding.

NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce
CACHE Diploma in Home-based Childcare
Paediatric First Aid trained - renewed January 2024
Safeguarding Children trained to level 2 - as needed, but undertaken January 2020 & a refresher Jan '22, fully renewed November '22
Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage trained and kept up to date
I attend training courses regularly to keep up with current best practice

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
My usual hours of work are 08.00 - 17.30hrs Monday to Friday.
Basic rate £7.00 per hour, with or without food in all cases.
Term Time Only is a higher rate.
After School care (15.00-17.30hrs): £21.00 - £24.00 with or without dinner included.
At the moment I have one drop off/pick up for Bridgewater School.
