About Me
I live in the Copnor area of Portsmouth have been child minding since 2007.
I am Ofsted registered, at my last inspection I was graded Good.
I offer a wide range of activities both in and out of my home based setting, including arts and crafts, cookery, messy play and reading. In addition to this I offer regular outings including visits to the local parks and to various toddler & singing groups, with regular visits to the library.
I have a large amount of toys and games for children to play with in my home. I am also a member of the Connor’s Toy Library and I can borrow a wide range of toys and games on a regular basis to meet the children’s needs.
I am able to deliver the 2 and 3 year old Nursery Education Grant within my setting. I also offer the 30 hours and accept all childcare vouchers
I offer a reliable, friendly and consistent service in a home based setting. I offer a safe and secure environment catering for all individual needs; helping children to meet their true potential
I pick up from Copnor primary school and local preschools
My Experience
I have been a childminder for the last 11 years. I have provided care for all ages within this time, from new born babies to young teenagers.
In addition to this I have supported ‘teen parents’ in Portsmouth and have provided respite care and community places on behalf of social services. I have also been involved in mentoring new childminders. I regularly attend training to ensure I am up-to-date with current trends legislation ensuring I'm able to support your childs development.
However some of my best experience has come from being a mum.
My Qualifications
I have a Level 3 Diploma in home based childcare.
Paediatric 1st Aid Certificate.
Level 2 food safety certificate.
Advanced safeguarding for early years training
Integrated working and safeguarding module 2 and module 3
Being part of the pacey I am able to access specific training to meet the needs of a child where required. I regularly undertake training courses and workshops to maintain my professional knowledge and to ensure I am meeting current legislation.

My Availability
I am a flexible child care provider and I am able to tailor specific contracts to meet the needs of each parent and more importantly the child.
I can offer term time only contracts, but am equally happy to provide child care during the holiday periods.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
My current rates are as follows:
Monday – Friday:
£5.10 per hour from 6.00 - 7.00 am
£4.10 per hour from 7.00 – 18.00
Under 3's
These rates include lunch drinks and snacks. In addition they include the cost of MOST outings and trips etc.
Overnight care is generally from 1900 to 0700.
Over 3 who qualify for either 15 or 30 hours funding please ask for details
